Our Workshops
Femmeprint is proud to partner with The East Harlem Tutorial Program (EHTP), a multi-site after-school program for public school students and a network of charter schools focused on significantly increasing the college graduation rate in East Harlem.
In our Arpana Caur workshops we observe her oil paintings and her usage of bright oils on a dark paper. Students used crayons and colored pencils on black paper to mirror Caur’s artistic style. This workshop helped the students understand color, hue, and saturation in art work. Read more about Caur's work here.
In our Rana Begum workshop we look at geometry through the lens of Begum’s signature geometric and abstract artistic style, exploring how lines, shapes, and forms are expressed in her work. Using colored paper we cut, arranged, and glued pieces into collages to express the geometric concepts we learned about. Read more about Begum's work here.
